- Well established Law Firm specialising in Immigration, Personal Injury and Civil Law/Litigation.We require an Immigration and Asylum Law Accreditation (IAAS) level 1 qualified (or above) caseworker. The work would involve handling a caseload of new and existing clients including asylum and appeal claims.Minimum of 1 year experience working in a similar post is required.Skills required:
- Able to deal with Legal aid funded matters.
- Ensure that information on cases is kept up to date on the case management system (pro-claim).
- Able to assist and work as part of a team.
- Have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Have the ability to work on own initiative and prioritise own work.
- Have an understanding and sensitivity to other cultures and commitment to Equal Opportunities.
- Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.

We are looking for a Housing Litigation Solicitor who is able to able to satisfy the supervisor requirements for the Legal Aid Agency in the area of Housing and Debt.
To satisfy this requirement, you must have undertaken and be able to demonstrate work on the minimum number of cases in the combined Housing and Debt Case Categories below within the last 12 months:
- 5 Possession or repossession case,
- 3 Homelessness cases,
- 2 Housing disrepair cases,
- 3 Possession cases that required representation,
- 1 Homelessness or Disrepair case that required representation,
- 1 Case which required the ability to recognise possible Judicial Review Proceedings,
- 1 Case which required the ability to recognise a possible contravention of the rights and freedoms expressed in the ECHR.
Our Housing Team deal with complex and challenging cases so the ability to work with vulnerable adults is also essential.

We take placements very seriously. All we ask is that you are with us for a minimum of five days a week for at least two weeks.
